Nikotinamid Mononukleotid (NMN) ist der unmittelbare Vorläufer von NAD+ und ist in jedem Lebewesen in die Biosynthese von NAD+ eingebunden. NAD+, dessen Level in Organismen über die Jahre hinweg abnimmt, ist an zahlreichen Zellprozessen beteiligt.

In einer wissenschaftlichen Untersuchung wurde die Verträglichkeit von NMN am menschlichen Organismus untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigten nicht nur eine ausgezeichnete Verträglichkeit, sondern auch eine beeindruckende Steigerung des NAD-Levels um 38% bereits nach 60 Tagen¹.
